This is a small (8×10″) painting I did in class today. I spent about 2.5 hours on it, so I think I can say I am improving.

When I started this class seven months ago, I could hardly get the initial drawing down and a few paint strokes before the time was up. This little piece was done from a picture taken by our instructor and displayed on his computer screen. I omitted a few trees in the shot, so that ended up causing some trouble. I kept painting what I saw and then realized I was painting something I had decided to omit on my canvas. My mind is still untrained.

Anyway, at least I have something to post. Considering all that I am dealing with at the moment, it is something to be grateful for. I am still hanging in there!!
