Our instructor in my acrylic painting class gave everyone a little cutout from a magazine picture for us to practice color matching. She told us not to worry about accuracy in the composition, but get the colors as close as possible. My colors are pretty close and I actually restarted the whole painting to get the rendering correct. When I rushed the sketch out the first time, I kept getting lost when laying down the paint. I really need to have an accurate drawing for me to be able to paint what I am looking at. We will be taking our paintings and cutting them up this week to make some sort of collage. I will post that at the bottom.
