This is an acrylic painting I started for my painting class. We had to darken our canvas and use the dark ground as the tree trunks and limbs, and then we were supposed to fill in the negative space. There was so much foliage and different altitudes looking out across a gulch. I am not sure I did it right. I like it though. I did end up using paint on the trees, but I really tried to stay true to the assignment.
Here’s the finished piece again so you can compare what just another hour or so can do. Unfortunately, I got more glare on this second photo.
