I hadn’t  done any artwork in months. This was a commission I began for a family friend right after I got let go at the job I was completely unqualified for. It still feels scary to draw again. It took me five weeks to finish.  I think it turned out pretty good, but I can really see how lazy I get in the details. If I can get two commissions a month, I will make more than I did at my office job and I will be a lot happier.

This drawing was well received when I sent it out to many of my contacts. I sold four prints, including one to my old boss, almost immediately.

Then, I received a request for another project. So I start this new drawing with a bit more confidence. Is 2018 the year I’m going to find my way?
