I am trying to practice my craft more. Some, hopefully most, days I will do a single-sitting drawing/painting. I thought if I kept it small and simple it wouldn’t scare me so much. I started with a photo of a homeless man named Neil and will draw him many times. If I finish anything in a day, I will post it before I go to bed. Unless I think it’s awful…
I will post the most recent single sitting efforts on top. Some days I will give it my all and some days you will see I didn’t. Months may pass with nothing at all…
The oil painting below took about three hours.
The oil painting below was about a four hour effort. Maybe… It was the first time using my oil paints in over two years. Some of the lids broke when I forced them unstuck! This was a warm-up. I wiped the paint off the canvas for the next days attempt. (Above)
Drawing at night in bad light without my glasses is better than not drawing at all.
This drawing below and the telephone above were single sitting pieces, but not part of this challenge. I just like them, and they were posted with some other bad drawings. I took this Drawing Practice page down from my site because I really wasn’t drawing everyday. Now I’m trying again.
