RANTS

I use this painting by Picasso to describe my psyche. I don’t have big breasts, but I nursed nine healthy babies, so that’s BIG. When I saw this painting in Paris in 2015, I felt an instant connection. This painting described me then and now…

My RANTS are my experience and what comes from it.  Sometimes it feels good to let off steam.  Most RANTS are deleted shortly after posting, but some I leave up because they seem generic enough to stand on their own.

***    Wow! I own my own store. Today was dismal as far as sales go, but I had a good first week overall. I’m quite happy with the response, though I still have done no advertising. I will need to get on that very soon!!

***    If someone causes you to contract, as opposed to expand, you HAVE to walk away. No matter what, you are worth your peace. They can blame, accuse, ridicule, criticize or attack you, and you still have the right and obligation to peacefully walk away. You have to remember they won’t lose as much as you will if you keep holding on.

***    Just be. Walk as if nobody measures your steps. And if you are crawling or collapsing, you can know you are at your best when you accept what is and acknowledge everything has played out perfectly for your ultimate enlightenment. Be brave.

Try not to imagine how wrong something is, and let everything be as it is. But, remember to turn when you come to a dead-end and keep moving.

***   Never underestimate the staying power of a first impression.

***   My advice: If you are inclined to run from the things you must confront in your life, make sure you’re on a treadmill. At least it won’t be a complete waste of time.

***  I hate dreaming.  It gets exhausting. Sometimes the dream is so real, you wake up and want to act upon what you just experienced. Dreams can give you hope and dreams can rip your heart out. Is not daily consciousness enough to exhaust us?  Sleep is supposed to be for rest.  Period.

***  It’s sort of crazy how some people really think they know you when they have so little to go on.

***  If you or someone you know has talent and/or inspiration, help it to be realized and flourish. Encourage the emerging artist.

***  Just make sure you were the first and the last to offer the olive branch.
